The TX ADT-IV is comprised of Soldiers from the Texas Army National Guard and is a detachment of C Company (Long Range Surveillance), 3rd Squadron 124th Cavalry (Reconnaissance and Surveillance), 71st Battlefield Surveillance Brigade, 36th Infantry Division.
TX ADT-IV is currently deployed to Ghazni, Afghanistan with a mission to assist the government and people of Ghazni by conducting sustainable agricultural and economic development in order to increase the competency, capacity and credibility of the Afghan governmental and traditional institutions in the Ghazi Province.
TX ADT-IV works closely with Afghan governmental representatives such as the Ghazni Director of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock, District Agriculture Extension Agents, Ghazni Governor, Provincial Council members, provincial sub governors and other governmental officials to mentor them in the project development process for projects that focus on improvements in the agriculture sector such as irrigation, livestock, horticulture, and solar energy.
